Which rifle caliber is best for small game; .22 LR, .22 Mag., or .17 HMR?

I disagree with robert id say the .22lr is fine for cyotes in the 50-80yard range now ive shot 100 yard with a .22lr and it will be enough for most small game or dogsized game however the .22mag would be beter suited for this and i personally will never pick up a 17hmr or a 17hm2 its just not a round i like its too light for my likeing .22mag id use out to 150-180yard with handloaded ammunition
